The Hilditch Group offers a comprehensive range of services from AUCTIONS to PRIVATE TREATY SALES of medical equipment, plant & machinery and catering equipment.

We also offer SITE CLEARANCES, HAULAGE, RECYCLING, MEDICAL ENGINEERING SERVICES and DIRECT PURCHASING.

Site Clearances - we specialise in the clearance of large institutions such as schools, hospitals and factories. We also purchase equipment. We have cleared a large number of hospitals, both for the NHS and private healthcare groups. We have also purchased large quantities of "B" stock from companies such as Electrolux, Oneida and other manufacturers.

When carrying out a large clearance, we provide skips and expertise to clear the unsaleable items and will organise the sale of assets on site, often resulting in the client offsetting all their disposal costs from the sale of surplus equipment, and usually in the client receiving a substantial cheque.

The Hilditch Group Ltd is dedicated to selling assets on behalf of a range of clients. The Medical division was established in 1992 specifically to offer a service to the Health Sector and currently over 80% of all acute NHS Trusts plus many in the private sector, use us on a regular basis to sell medical assets. We hold a medical equipment sale once a month at our Malmesbury saleroom; the only regular medical equipment auction in the UK. As well as regular sales in Malmesbury, we also hold On-Line sales via this website and sales on site anywhere in the country.

The company was founded in 1990 by Mike and Nicky Hilditch. Nicky is a qualified radiotherapy radiographer and Mike and Nicky have worked as a team for over 25 years, managing a number of auction departments across the UK.

Mike Hilditch has been auctioneering for 30 years (starting at an unbelievably young age!) and in that time he has sold almost everything conceivable from livestock through to heavy industrial machinery.

The Hilditch Group reflects this breadth of experience by also offering a complete and extensive service, selling all types of commercial, industrial and general chattels. Hilditch hold the largest catering equipment auction in the country and sell equipment on behalf of many major manufacturers.

Neill Saint FNAVA
Saleroom Manager and Auctioneer

Neill spent a former life as owner and landlord of the very pleasant Neeld Arms in Grittleton, where he is a leading pillar of the Community; being a parish councillor and keen golfer. Neill is also on the executive committee of The National Association of Valuers & Auctioneers.

Harvey Strutt MAAT
Company Accountant

Harvey is a qualified accountant who has worked for the Company as a valuer & auctioneer & has now moved into the Accounts Department, where he is feeling right at home & his experience as a valuer means he knows exactly how the auctions work!

Barney Greig
Marketing Manager

Marketing is key to a successful auction and New Zealander Barney has a wealth of marketing experience. For some reason only known to him he loves auctions and when he isn't promoting our sales he can be found on a surfboard anywhere there are waves.

Anna Partridge
PA to Directors

Anna is Mike & Nicky's" right hand woman" and is responsible for all the company admin, staff welfare, ISO monitoring & making the tea! After 12 years she still makes it too weak!

Gemma Ravenhill
Transport Co-ordinator

Gemma is responsible for organising transport, arranging advertising and is part of the sales and marketing team. She relaxes by playing the saxophone and watching soaps.

Becky Jobes
Front Office Administrator

Becky has moved from the Accounts Department and is now probably the first person you will meet at the Salerooms. She is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all the auction sales.

Her hobbies are shopping and resting after shopping!

Kay Isted
Accounts & Sales Office Assistant

Kay is a Malmesbury girl through & through. Her father Ted worked for us for many years in the saleroom & her brother Rob often helped us out in busy times.

Kay has several years experience in Accounts & Administration and until recently worked in an Investment Bank. She enjoys a new challenge and not having to drive to Swindon in the snow!

Danny O'Brien
Online Sales Supervisor

Danny works with our Medical Engineering Department, selecting, testing & cataloguing items for our Online sales. He also manages our new storage & distribution premises with military precision, as one would expect from an ex-army guy.

Andy Tout
Saleroom Supervisor

Andy has been with us for 8 years and in his role as saleroom supervisor is responsible for the smooth running of the warehouse and for keeping the boys happy! He is your first port of call for any saleroom queries.

In his spare time he keeps busy looking after his 5 children!!

Roger Sanders PG-Dip
Senior Medical Engineer

Roger has joined us from the Seychelles! He is very experienced in a wide range of equipment & is VRCT Registered. As well as working for the past 15 years in his own country he has also set up Medical Engineering Depts and training courses for technicians in Africa. He is experienced in physical assets management, needs assessments & inventories, maintenance & repair. Roger will be heavily involved in the Amalthea Trust.

Nazir Hamidi
Medical Engineering Technician

Nazir has experience in electrical engineering and is keen to specialise in the medical field. He has already designed and built a pocket size hearing aid as part of this BTEC. He lives in Bristol & likes to work in the leafy environment of Malmesbury.

Nazir's hobbies include tinkering with electronic equipment & electronics!!!

Matthew Smith
Trainee Medical Engineering Technician

Matthew is keen to learn all about Medical Engineering. He joins us on an apprenticeship scheme & will be gaining qualifications as he works. He has an interest in electronics and enjoys mending things!

Matthew is football crazy, playing from the age of 6 & has captained his local team.
